JK Tutors is run by Joanna and Keith — a husband-and-wife team offering warm, patient, one-to-one online tutoring in English, Psychology, Sociology and History, from KS3 right through to GCSE and A-Level — working with families across the UK and internationally.

Joanna
English Language & Literature · GCSE Examiner Experience · Dyslexia SupportJoanna has over 20 years' experience teaching across UK and international schools, including higher education, and draws on years of experience as a GCSE examiner, with a First Class degree in English and Politics. She holds a PGCE and has specialist training in supporting dyslexic learners. Joanna has tutored online since 2016 alongside her classroom teaching, helping hundreds of students beat their target grade — often by two or more grades — while building real confidence and a genuine love of the subject.
Keith
English Language & Literature Teacher · Sociology, Psychology & HistoryKeith is an English Language & Literature teacher with over 20 years' experience across UK secondary and higher education, also teaching Sociology, Psychology and History, including more than five years delivering online tutoring. He works with students across the full range — from those aiming for the top grades to those who've struggled to click with a subject before — and, as a former SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) with Level 3 training in counselling skills, brings extra pastoral support for students who need it.

GCSE English Language tutoring — creative and analytical writing, comprehension skills, and exam paper practice.
Humanities
Three separate subjects, each tutored one-to-one:
- Psychology — studies, theories and key debates for exam success.
- Sociology — society, culture and sociological perspectives for exam success.
- History — strong source analysis and essay-writing skills.

Exam anxiety, organisation and revision strategies — especially helpful alongside SEN, dyslexia or EAL support.
