JK Tutors is run by Jo and Keith — a husband-and-wife team offering warm, patient, one-to-one online tutoring in English, Psychology, Sociology and History, for GCSE and beyond — working with families across the UK and internationally.

Jo
English Language & Literature · GCSE Examiner · Dyslexia SupportJo has over 20 years' experience teaching across UK and international schools, including higher education, and is a working GCSE examiner with a First Class degree in English and Politics. She holds a PGCE and has specialist training in supporting dyslexic learners. Jo has tutored online since 2016 alongside her classroom teaching, helping hundreds of students beat their target grade — often by two or more grades — while building real confidence and a genuine love of the subject.
Keith
English Language & Literature Teacher · Sociology & PsychologyKeith is an English Language & Literature teacher with over 20 years' experience across UK secondary and higher education, also teaching Sociology and Psychology, including more than five years delivering online tutoring. He works with students across the full range — from those aiming for the top grades to those who've struggled to click with a subject before — and, as a former SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) with Level 3 training in counselling skills, brings extra pastoral support for students who need it.

Three separate subjects, each tutored one-to-one:
- Psychology — studies, theories and key debates, explained clearly.
- Sociology — society, culture and sociological perspectives for exam success.
- History — strong source analysis and essay-writing skills.
Study Skills & Confidence
Exam anxiety, organisation and revision strategies — especially helpful alongside SEN or dyslexia support.
